Ok there's this other girl that I cold approached on my way back home at the train station. Sat next to her and got talkin. After 5 minutes said I had to get my train but would love to meet her again when I'm back in town (she lives about 2.5 hours away), didnt say when and gave her my number. She texted me about 4, 5 hours later (this was on sunday) and yesterday asked her if she fancied meeting up again when im back on the 27th. she responded with a "yes, should be ok" today. however, i know you're meant to move quick and be decisive and so i responding asking her if she fancied meeting at this time at this place and she responded with "haha so specific, i have to let u know closer to time for definite but if im free that's fine x". so what do i do now? dont want to be too eager and press for a time or be like let me know if it's ok bla bla, coz i dont want to put the ball too much in her court. should i be a bit aloof and let her chase or text her every few days or every week? cheers

Probably proposing a specific date/time/place that is 17 days away is a little too eager, might have looked needy (but I appreciate you were coming from a place of moving fast)... in such cases you could try for rapport-building text (see articles on main site) or just ignore her till a few days before.

In this case she's responded in good humour so you're okay, but I'd just leave it, anything you reply will just reward her non-compliance in setting up a date. Hopefully she will contact you closer to the time with an agreement or alternative date/time/place. To give her a chance to do so, don't contact her till the last minute (and if she's busy and misses out on a date with u as a result then it's her fault for not locking in your time while she had the chance).

cheers, Ray
