So I've been doing ok with a girl I met recently through social circle (I have an over-long FR is anybody wants the complete backstory). Cutting to the chase though:
Whilst we were together, we arranged our next meet, to be chilling at her house watching a film etc. (with high probability of then getting sex) - I was then off on holiday for roughly a week, and didn't contact her until I got back on Monday, when I texted to confirm our plans for Tuesday. My feeling is that this gap allowed some of the attraction to cool off, and also got her thinking logically about what was to happen - up went the anti-slut defences, and after obviously evading my attempts to confirm our original plans, she called me late at night to cancel (giving a half-hearted excuse about needing to help her Mum).
I felt the best plan of action here was persistence, and so I jumped straight into suggesting we reschedule it there and then - she suggested the weekend, I pushed for the next day, and (although feeling like I'd somewhat bulldozered her into agreeing) told her 'I'll text you the details... no, wait, why don't you text me'. Lo and behold, it's now Wednesday night and no text.
Clearly I've made some mistakes with law of least effort here - probably over-reacted to her cancellation, and also by trying to rearrange for so soon perhaps came across as chasing/needy. What do I do now? I've backed myself into a corner somewhat - if I call her out on not texting me, I'm chasing her; at the same time, I wasn't totally clear I wanted her to text me, and what's more, I feel that if I wait for her to text me, the attraction levels that were already dropping will continue to fall over time/she just won't text me and that'll be the end of that.
Cheers in advance for your thoughts!
