I don't really blame "the happiness movement".
People are unhappy. It's true, there are a lot of problems in the world going on right now.
So basically you have a couple of guys who write books and they sell them. And then they claim they are "successful". Well "success" is a subjective term, but here's the thing. IT doesn't solve people's problems. IT only papers the cracks. Then many people starts selling books. People have to eat right? That is what going on around the world. PEople are unhappy, and other people ask them to smile. Network marketing people are only interested in selling products by collecting people, and then close shop after 5 years. Then everybody starts jump in the bandwagon and do the same things. People have to eat right?
Asking people to be happy is the same as "Oh everything is in God's hands" (even though you can partly alter that moment at that time).
Asking people to be happy is the same as "Just be yourself" (Did it get you anywhere? Don't make me start there)
Asking people to be happy is the same as not buying a condom only because "It's only 99% protection". ("Well you have a son now do you?" I am joking here
)
Asking people to be happy is the same as "Just be nice" (Maybe it's true, but nice is just courtesy.)
I want to be happy, and i want people to be happy. I want us to be objectively happy. Even if we don't have a million bucks or that we stuck with a girlfriend we don't like, I want us to be objectively happy. I want us, humanity to be accepting to ourselves and have this mentality where i know where i am and i know some things are shit. People can say whatever and that's their right, and that's probably bullshit. But hey, they can call me bullshit too. I just want to start teaching people what i cumulative learn about the mind and how we can improve ourselves in the real world, or linear reality in a sense. I dun want to just feel and then see my life crumbles an hour later only because i feel and jump for joy and then go home and not have money or any ideas.
This is one of the few things to clean up, in my blog soon. Directing people to what they feel, have and work from there.
