The Girl That Texts "Hey"

Just something that's been happening to me recently. A girl will text me with "Hey". And that's it. As if I'm supposed to respond to that. Haha, but seriously, I'm just wondering why this happens and if it means that the girl is attracted or just wants a texting buddy. Any thoughts would be cool.

NarrowJ had this same text in one of his LRs. He responded with a "?". He adds a good explanation to it too. Saying that it shows you were not expecting the text and you are not going to engage in a conversation unless she gives you the reason for her text.
