Well, I'm smiling as I write this as it's a small "problem" and quite funny in a fucked up way.
I wrote a FU story in the field reports where I talked about a girl who told me "if you speak to me again I will call the police".
Well, guess what happened yesterday as I was walking toward my date location?
I approached her again
, and again she said that again, angrily.
You might have a simple solution: don't approach the same girl again.
Yes, but I don't do it on purpose.
I have been living around the same area for more than 2 years, some girls live or work around here. I'm probably not too good with associating face, slight myopia doesn't help and so it happened several times I approached the same girl 2-3 times or more without realizing it was a previous approach. I almost always realize once I'm actually standing nearby or in front of her, but not always just quickly looking at someone walking by (and some other times I thought I knew the girl, but then didn't).
Now the vast majority of the times that's never been an issue, it either caused a laugh or a funny interaction or even gave the chance for a good silly transition (it's destiny, what are you doing always around me etc. etc.).
This one girl though is really annoyed, might even be thinking I'm stalking her or something or that I'm really desperate to speak to her.
Now the question is, if that should happen again, what would you do?
I don't like the idea someone thinks I'm a stalker, and even less that I'm ruining someone's time.
So far I have always quickly ejected. This time I quickly ejected after saying "sorry, I don't do that on purpose", with a bit of a high pitch and a bit louder than normal, as if it to say "why are you getting so worked up about it, I just didn't recognize you" (difficult to explain voice tonality).
