Calls & Texts the "Hi" text

Ok, so I got this girl's number, she was clearly pleased to meet me after I opened her with "I saw you walking past and had to tell you you have the sexiest figure/body i've seen in a while, nice hips, legs". We exchanged a few texts then I said we should meet up for a drink. That was yesterday. She doesn't reply then today she sends me a text saying "hi", and that was her response. What's going on? i think i remember reading a post on girlschase once where they said don't reply to "hi" or "hey" texts" which is what I've done. What does it mean though? Maybe she wants to carry on talking to build more rapport before meeting me again?
