The better your fundamentals, the more you'll be able to make minor mistakes without it affecting you too much. In my opinion, there are two things beginners do wrong all the time that tend to be less forgivable:
They don't move women to gain investment
They don't move fast enough
So, strong fundamentals or not, you need to move fast. So just focus on moving faster with women.

To add to this:
Minor mistakes are lessened
Major mistakes are worsened.
A suave guy making a small blunder? It's okay he's suave, it's endearing. Makes him more relatable
A normal guy making a small blunder? He makes a lot of them, he's creepy / normal.
A suave guy making a large blunder? Whole thing derails, he's a huge pushover / phony
A normal guy making a large blunder? It's okay I don't expect much from him anyways.
This is why you'll get HARD auto-rejections.
As for moving slowly, yeah if you're too attractive they'll get too nervous. Just think of it as an extreme person has extreme reactions. Move too slowly as a normal guy? Not too big of a deal, she's not going to disappear. Move too slowly as a suave guy? Well, she's either going to get nervous and disappear, or the opposite, you can't get rid of her.
