Sup guys. Been some time away from here for me. I got back into approaching after some needed time off last Saturday. Here we go:
I went out Saturday night in Philly, "warmed up" at one place (I didn't talk to anyone there, so I left about an hour after.) I was walking around Philly deciding where to go next, and I see these two girls walking in front of me. Couldn't tell how cute they were ( I'm near-sighted), so I got closer and asked if they knew where Coda lounge was. I noticed quickly they were drunk, but they were cool. We were talking for a few minutes, and they told me they knew the owner of the lounge I was looking for; they took me there. Sure enough, the club owner came out and escorted us past the line to get in and a free drink. Not a bad start!
Anyway, they lost interest in speaking with me, so I walked around and chatted up some people. First few girls weren't interested in chatting or dancing. I was going around talking to a couple of the bouncers just to keep some good connections, plus, it's not everyday bouncers are actually really cool. I danced with one girl whose hair I complimented earlier, but she left after one dance. Some minutes later, I lock eyes with this cute, petite girl with black hair who was dancing at her VIP area. I smiled and motioned her over. Keep in mind it was hard to hear her in the club:
As we were dancing, we were talking more:
I think I screwed up here but after a few minutes of dancing, I pulled out my phone and motioned for her to put her number in my phone. I noticed I did this because I've been working on being more aggressive and less passive:
She gave me a look when I pulled out my phone at first; her countering saying I should put my number in hers made me think that was a mistake since she could just ignore it; I also felt like I was chasing her at that moment (overthinking?) After that, I showed her how to dance bachata to get off of that mistake, and seemingly it worked. She seemed a little intrigued to learn a new dance. Here's where I start getting more confused. I think she was a little drunk too, so this may come into play.
I remember Chase saying that you shouldn't kiss a girl on the dance floor unless you have a place to pull her that's opportune enough. She was in the VIP area with her sister, so I was sure she wouldn't leave her alone there if I kissed her. But I gave her the triangle gaze from eyes to her nose and back a few times and I just felt like I should have. I didn't, and after dancing with her for about 20-30 minutes, the place was closing. I met her sister and said a few words to her, and she said she was going to leave. I convinced her to stay and chat with me for a few minutes outside, and while we were out there, she called her uber. I tried chatting her up to go for a pull and go to her place, seemed far-fatched here to me since she didn't want to stay initially, but fuck it, I'm trying. Sadly, she got into her Uber with her sister a few minutes after and I went to Mcdonalds with some guys hanging outside instead lol.
What do you guys think? I texted her the next day, but I got no response. Was I overthinking the kissing her on the dance floor part? That's one thing that always confuses me, because I see so many guys do that, but they end up going home alone after. Then again, I don't have enough experience to comfortable say that that's always the case. Feedback appreciated!

She gave me an inviting look that said: Show me. So I went under the VIP rope into her section and started dancing with her. The bouncer came over quickly to see if she was okay with me, and he quickly left.Me: You look like a good dancer, but I think I'm a little better than you
As we were dancing, we were talking more:
Me: What's your name?
Her: *****
Me: I'm James. Do you teach dance?
Her: No. Why?
Me: You're really good. You're really smooth.

Her: Here, put your number in mine.
