This girl has me confused?

There's this girl in my college that looks at me all the time. Everywhere she stares at me. I have really strong feelings for this girl, I think about her a lot (idk, maybe it was love at first sight). So I decided to approach her and get her phone number and set up a date. About an hour after I got her number I sent her a message saying "It was nice meeting you (Name). She then replied with "You as well " I had her in another class that day but I got way too nervous about sitting next to her so I sat down in my usual spot. I know she wanted me to sit next to her because she kept staring at me, but I was just too damn nervous.
Anyway, I talked to her today as we were walking out of class and said "Hi," She said Hi back and smiled at me. I told her "can we talk about something." And she smiled and asked "about what?" And I told her "it felt like we were ignoring each other" and she just smiled and said she had to go to class. Now, I know for a fact that she likes me, but I don't know why she just smiled at me and kept walking. If a girl is in auto-rejection she won't be receptive to talking to you or will just ignore you. So what's going on?

From what I read you look like your still good, that last interaction you had with her made you come off a bit needy, its why she smiled back at you. She is aware that you like her, this is where she'll try to take control of the relationship by making you chase her. If you want this girl you need to pertain from chasing, this is key.

Since the feeling is mutual between you guys you should go for sex on the first or second date. That way you'll come across as a lover instead of a boyfriend or a friend. Your question was weird. You walked up and asked her why it felt like you were ignoring each other. You are the man. You should approach her, that's not her job.

Just ask her how her day is. Talk to her like she is normal.

You're right brum, my question was kind of weird but I just came up with the first thing that popped in my mind because I was a little nervous. Btw, how do I NOT chase her? If I sit next to her in class will that seem like im chasing her? How do I NOT chase her and still get her?
