Just wanted to share my eye opening experiencing with Tinder for which I am still trying to find an answer but that hugely changed the way I look at it.
I went on a trip and used Tinder on 3 different locations. I didn't mathematically count, but I'm pretty sure my roundings are not far from the actual numbers.
Look at the results for yourself.
Berlin, Germany
Days of swiping, it was very common to finish all the available swipes and have NOT A SINGLE MATCH.
How many swipes do you have? I don't know but the result should be around:
Result: 0.x %
Bangkok, Thailand
Quite a few matches, including beautiful girls. Most of them responded as well and shared contacts for immediate chat applications (I didn't want phone numbers as costs of calling would be very high).
Result: 20-30%
Moscow, Russia
I couldn't swipe quickly and the application jammed often because the vast majority of the swipes were matches. If it wasn't above 90%, it must have been extremely close to it.
Result: <80%
COMMENTS ON RESULTS
It's impressive.
Going from 0. something percent to above 80% without changing anything was astounding for me, I really didn't expect anything like this.
WHY ?
Berlin and Germany are famous for feminism and for the rejection of mainstream fashion by a large percentage of the population.
"Machism" seem to be rejected by the vast majority of female population.
Maybe my picture screamed "look at me" and it hackles feathers ? Maybe I come off try hard and not genuine?
Maybe it's because I'm a wop and they're racist
?
Difficult to say really.
Russian girls maybe are very much into the west, much more into fashion, very feminine and like the allure of stylish foreign men.
Many Russian men also suffer from alcoholism and it's a place were hot girls notoriously outnumber hot guys.
Could this possibly partially explain the huge difference? Don't know really..
IS A GENERIC "TINDER" SYSTEM POSSIBLE?
When your environment changes the results so much, and if part of the reason is because of the pictures, I really wonder if a generic, global Tinder system can be applied.
Because, obviously, something working for Russia does bomb big time in Germany.
