I decided to join Tinder recently.
I had tried to get a good profile picture of myself, but was overanalyzing the whole thing (No.. This is too bad. This isn't good either), and was noticing to just postpone the whole joining situation.
So I decided to stop giving a damn about it and just went and joined in with my "not-so good but decent at max profile picture".
Result after a week:
2 matches.
I've been a bit picky with the Tinder girls I admit, only choosing those I would imagine going to a date with or to be casual with.
The other one of the matches I decided to open with a flirtatious move, and it naturally didn't work.
Well, at least I tried.
The second one, a brunette somewhere around twenty, I took more seriously and thought more of what I write to her.
We did actually end up texting somewhat for the next day and I got to know her a little better (from what you can get to know the other one from plain text and a picture), and I realized I actually like this girl.
I wrote to her that if she happens to be around we could grab a coffee (Lives about 50 miles away from city)
She answered,
"I'm visiting [the name of the city] with my parents right now. But I'm stuck with them so I can't really move anywhere."
At this point I had quite a busy evening ahead of me, full of schedule, so I decided not to push her or me harder with it, instead writing,
"I'm sorry to hear about it. But yeah, I understand your situation."
A day later I contacted her again with,
"Hi! How did your trip to the city go? : )"
But I haven't heard from her since.
Actually, she hasn't been even online for a couple of days now.
She hasn't blocked me, that much I know (otherwise she wouldn't be seen in my list anymore), but I wonder what happened.
Anyways, I reckon she dropped me so it's time to head on.
Review:
Pros
+ Asked an interesting girl for a coffee / Tried to arrange a date
+ Demonstrated interest towards an interesting girl
+ Joined Tinder where you can potentially match with girls, it's at least a step among other ones
Cons
- Should've pushed more about the date, instead of dropping it instantly?
- By asking about her trip afterwards I pushed myself to the friend zone?
