As a long time Tinder vet, Tinder has given me many great experiences with many different girls over the years. However, the times are a changing. First, it started with the introduction of Tinder Plus which allowed users to pay to have unlimited swipes. This put the cheap asses like me at a disadvantage when you only have 100 swipes per day, compared to the unlimited swipes of the paid users. There was a noticeable drop off of matches, dates, and lays after this. This is because every girl gets spammed with every paid users profile, so many of them never even get to view your profile. Even still, with a pimped out profile you can still out compete paid users.
But the now they've introduced the "Boost" feature which allows users to pay to have their profile jump the line. For the last few weeks I didn't understand why my matches were coming in so much slower and fewer than before. I was matching with girls that I swiped on a week ago. Some of the girls had bolts beside their profile, and I couldn't figure it out. Then the boost feature is revealed, and now it all makes sense. Now, if ANY guy wants to have the success he previously had, he has to pay. With the amount of thirsty guys in my city, Tinder is going to make a killing, but I can't help but wonder how it will affect the guys that actually have success on Tinder. Will they stay and pay or stick to the free apps?
And if all the hot guys leave Tinder for free apps, how will it affect girls' interest in the app?
