Tips for young intermediate? Approaching older girls?

Hey guys,

As a young learner who wants to learn how to cold approach on my own without wingmen, I often find myself intimidated when i try to approach as of late. As a 17 year old coming on 18, the high school scene has run its course and college is on the horizon where I imagine it will be very easy to meet women. However during the summer the few girls I do approach typically seem to be 21, 22ish. Do you guys have any advice on how to not let the age difference stop me? It just feels weird going up to girls quite a few years older than you, while if she was my age it wouldn't bother me. Maybe im just going to the wrong places? I live in a college town so any tips on where I should go to meet a younger crowd? All advice is appreciated. I don't want to rely on being in school to surround myself with women.

Mannnnn! As a fellow 18 year old, don't let the age difference stop you, and in reality, I tend to go after women older than me. The youngest girl I've been involved with has been 20, and the oldest has been 27. In all honesty, with all of those girls, the age doesn't bother them when you show that you are a mature man, instead of holding to regular 18 year old tendencies, live your life as if you are older, live in a more mature manner and it actually attracts older women because it shows that you're living a life with a bright future ahead of you. Very seldom will a woman turn you down because of your age, when you show your maturity, they'll more than likely respect your intentions, and want to find out what makes you so different than the other 18 year olds around you.

I'm 18 and i simply never bother with girls my age. The older and naturally beautiful woman usually has a very understanding and kind nature towards us guys, so when we're starting out, they usually tolerate our mistakes and make an effort to continue the conversation when a girl our age would have given up on you long ago.

Go for older women, they're great. By older, i mean mid-twenties.

Thanks guys! I guess i'm probably just making it a bigger obstacle in my head than it really is since all my successes have been with girls my age or a bit younger.

Just curious where do you guys find are some quality high traffic spots for these type of women? Lately i've been going to beaches and bookstores with bookstores being pretty hit or miss. I'm probably going to start heading to coffee shops on top of that. As you can tell right now i'm not looking for girls huge in the party scene.

For me, there really are no high traffic spots unless I have a lot of money in my pocket and decide to take the train ride out to downtown Chicago, but I generally don't. I'm from a small urban area, not a huge mall for women, no high traffic spots. Thus, in beginning my pick up career, I had to scout for other places. The answer I came up with, department stores! Many a times, I've been walking through Kmart or Walmart, Kohls, Target, or Penneys, Carson Pierre Scott, Sears, and have found that there is usually a decent amount of women. I can not let any prospects get away because ,y options are narrow, I suggest you do the same =)

I come from a small town. The only way i can get some proper experience is when i take a train to London (which i'm hardly able in a financial position to do). You've got to learn to go for the pretty girl as soon as you see her, and leave no prisoners. As she's probably the only pretty girl in town that day, i have no other choice!
