Different… but the same!
Years ago I was a professional coach….
Now I work as a business consultant.
One thing I happen to specialize in is taking sales teams and making them perform better.
How?
I don’t start out by teaching them better sales techniques. I don’t teach them how to overcome objections. In fact, I teach them NOTHING technical. Not at first.
So WHAT do I do?
I tell them to track the simple variables they can control. Every day.
How many sales conversations are they starting with new prospects? What’s the number? Record it every day.
How many past customers are the hitting up to try and reactivate? Record that number every day!
How many hours a day are they spending on actual sales task? Record that number every day!
How many times a day are they doing sales presentations?
How many minutes a day they spending learning about their craft?
Etc…
Rookie Numbers!
Then I tell them that at the end of the week add up the numbers in each category and divide by the number of work days.
Whatever that number is, their goal is to now beat it the next week.
And then the week after that beat the new number.
Effort beats skill (at first)
Here is the TRUTH…
Unless the sales guy is a complete retard then the act of simply recording their effort and trying to beat it every week is going to make them naturally improve!
Only after they start putting in sufficient volume and effort can they recognize their shortcomings and start getting training on that!
Get Laid!
This applies to seduction too!
To often some dude starts reading every bit of seduction material known to mankind and complains a year later that they still aren’t getting laid.
Then you learn they only every approach women on Friday nights…
Between the hours of 11 - 11:30,
When the moon is full,
And only during summer equinox!
In other words, they aren’t putting in the volume!
If you want to rapidly improve go get a note taking app and track the following (at least)…
Number of days/nights out:
Number of approaches per outing:
Successful opens:
Conversations over two minutes:
Escalation attempts:
Closing attempts:
For the next six months don’t even worry about the results! Simply go out, follow a process, seek to improve the numbers above every week, and you will notice that you get better!
Eventually your numbers won’t be able to be improved because you will actually start getting dates and lays and won’t have time to make your numbers higher!
That is when you start working on the technical side of game. That’s when you start getting smoother, more efficient, and all around better at getting women.
If you don’t put in the effort and volume, don’t complain about your lack of results!
