Dudes! Lately I have encountered a lot of girls paying attention to me, but I can’t seem to get them attracted. The window of opportunity is seemingly non-existent. I have tried approaching these girls to have them close themselves up, block themselves of or get a neutral response at best. Alternatively I have also tried keeping a little aloof and not approaching straight away to approach when I’ve had chance to pre approach or catching them when they’re not in a group. I have even tried being direct/indirect and very warm and welcoming but I'm not getting very far with a lot of them.
I was out recently in a pub/club and a girl walked over with a friend, they stood a couple of feet away from me and one of them was pointing directly at me, smiling, looking me right in the eyes and saying to her friend “him there, him! He looks like Joe Wicks!” (to anyone unfamiliar with Joe Wicks he’s a famous personal trainer/nutritionist (UK) “The Body Coach” who’s rated rather attractive by a lot of girls). I took this as a huge AI and IOI and went straight to approach, I took one step towards them and the girl pointing at me stepped back and away, I took another step and she moved to the side. This really wasn’t going very well :’) fortunately I liked her friend more anyway. I was right next to her friend and not very far from the girl making a getaway, I lightly touched her friend on her elbow:
Me: Hey
Her: Hey
Me: How’s your night going?
Her: It’s good thanks, sorry about my friend she was saying you looked like Joe Wicks
Me: Oh that’s cool, thanks, I’ll take that as a compliment
(her friend starts walking off a little further)
Her: Sorry I’m on damage control tonight I’m looking after my friend before she does something
Me: I think she’s making friends, she’s not going to go far
Her: I have to get her, enjoy your night. Bye (walks of)
….but not very far, literally moved inches and some other girl came up and hugged her who knew her from somewhere. Judging by what I seen they hadn’t seen each other in a while and one of the bar maids even left the bar and came to join both of them hugging them both and saying hi. A bit of a reunion maybe? She stood and talked to them for a while; so she can’t have been that concerned for her friend and she could have made time.
Okay in this example the attention mostly came from the girl that walked of, but I couldn't get time of day from the other girl. I seemingly encounter this a lot lately like this thread: Clear interest (AI+) closed up on approach?
