Hi Guys,

Unorthodox ways to look younger.

1) Smile in the mirror.

Smile yourself widely in the mirror at home, in the morning and at night.

2) "Fuck it"

If you stress, fuck it. I am not saying you should not care, but leave it for awhile.

3) Laugh at a lot of things

I laugh a lot when i was younger, and i still do laugh, at things people don't even find it funny. But really, develop a high sense of humour. I have friends, family members still use my "nonsense" on themselves every now and them.

4) Do something you love often

I love playing soccer every week when i was younger, and i love interacting with people, but it's not so a need as soccer. So yea find something where you feel naturally happy. Don't use your passion as a release, because it can be contaminated by other life's problems. But really enjoy what you do.

5) Don't mix with angry, bitter people too often.

Yeap, that's enough doesn't it? :)

6) Believe that you're young

This can be double edge sword, because it can make you take some things not seriously, like financial, but yea.

7) Exercise

Go and have a jog a 1 or 2 kilometers a week. :)

Having Asian genes also helps. :)

This may not be doable for many people, but minimizing exposure in the sun also helps. UV rays accelerating the aging of one's skin.

If there is one thing I learned in life it's stress will age you like nothing else.

What has been proven to cause the most stress?
Being around people who hate you and you cannot trust. You are in a constant fight or flight response.

What has been shown to be the most effective way to relieving stress?
Being around people who you trust and love.

Also, something counter to what has been told in the media, if you are very stressed out (as in fight or flight) exercise is the last thing you should do. Exercise itself is not health, but it is the healing response that makes us healthier. But if you are stressed out, your healing response is compromised and all you are doing is tearing your body apart. Since you are in a fight or flight response, your body is much more concerned about saving your life (well it thinks it is saving your life) than give any resources to anything else. Now, If you are only a little bit stressed (not fight or flight), then working out is the second best thing you can do. For number one look above. Just don't act like the gym is some magic bullet to all your problem. Some of those health nuts need a punch to the back of the head. In the end you have to listen to your body, mind, and spirit.

Oh, one last thing.

Personality is a huge factor in dealing with stress.

One side of my family all have a certain personality (very sharp, don't take crap from no one, have a problem they vent it and get it over with, thrive in all situations, are straight up about what they want in life, and are down to earth). The only bad thing about them is they are generally ASSHOLES. But not all assholes have strong personalities (actually if they are a bully, they are more likely to have a weak personality...they are just trying to hide it). I think a good indicator of a strong personality is if it stayed the same throughout the years. Their opinions, beliefs, and attitudes stayed the same from 20 to 40. No stressful situation or person was able to compromise who they were. Not always a good indicator, as it may have stayed the same out of stupidity and ignorance...but those people wouldn't look good in their 40s cause stressful events zap your antioxidant capacity.

That side of the family (people in their 40s and 50s) has no grey hair, barely any wrinkles, hairline is same as when they were 12, and no weight gain. My grandpa just started to get grey hair right when he was turning 70.

My other side however, are the typical, medicated, depressed Caucasian. They tend to be a little goofy, don't like confrontations, hold a grudge, often passive aggressive cause they don't know how to handle their emotions in a situation, and seem to chase money simply cause thats what society tells them to. I know it sounds like I am bad mouthing my father's side, but my mother's side they tend to be assholes, while my father's side is much nicer and more compassionate. However, the problem is my father's side (while kind and caring) tend to become very wrapped with age since their personalities aren't that strong.

Anyways in their late 30s they all start to lose their hair or/and have a receding hairline, go grey right away, their weight fluctuates a lot, and their skin gets all leathery.

It is also probably genetic too...but I think a healthy personality isn't given enough credit.

Here is an interesting video on stress's effect on your antioxidant capacity:

Nah, common. :)

I would not say minimizing away from the sun, because it's not possible like you noted, and a guy like me who plays soccer all too often. I would suggest to people out there, get air-conditioned often too. It's a balancing act between the sun and the machine!

what is behind tap plain water? I remember when I was young, I spent a ton of money on coral calcium for my water...I tried a bunch of crap when I was young. What I learned in the long haul was most supplements are a waste of money and nice way to force yourself to live paycheck to paycheck.

It helps clean your body. I used to drink soft drinks one to two bottles per day after soccer. I have those yellow acne, pus on my thighs because the soft drinks flow on my blood cells and your body doesn't heal scars nicely. WIth tap plain drinkable water at least 3 to recommended 7 cups a day, you clean your body. The plain tap water runs through your body instead of PEPSI! You look better, and definitely your scars have lesser visible marks.

I have seen my scars lesser. Because i use to press the yellow pus out. It's disgusting but whatever. :)
