I was on campus today doing some pick-up and found a great spot to "post-up" and eat the ham and cheese sandwich I packed myself while listening to the audiobook of Napoleon Hill's The Law of Success. It was a spot overlooking the main plaza, and there were people handing out pamphlets with shit-eating grins on their faces. I wondered if they actually gave a damn about whatever they were giving people. As I watched I realized that watching people's responses to them is an excellent way to screen in those who are most open to being approached. I used this with two girls today, both who responded favorably and were cute. All I did was see them get stuck in a conversation and being sweethearts, walked around to the other side of the building where they were heading, then approach them when they got to the other side (which was conveniently a minute or two later). I timed it for the second one so that I was actually opening the door of a building at the same time she was going into it (the library), we hit it off after a situational opener from me, and we agreed to meet up later tonight. I'm not going to use this as a substitute for "stumble upon" style game, as it's not really my style -- a bit too contrived; kind of like hunting elk from a tree stand -- but it is a strategy I've never tried before. You just need a good spot (though don't overuse it, of course).
As a side note, another thing I like to do for day game on campus is to ride my bike through the outskirts, so I can get in position to "naturally" approach once I see a fair lady in the distance, as overt direct approaches rarely lead to sex from campuses, in my experience, while situational and indirect-direct tend to have higher success rates.
