Was out last night. With one of the girls I approached, things seemed to go pretty well, she actually told me she recognized me from seeing me earlier that day in the patio of my airbnb apt building (I didn't recognize her at first, but recalled seeing her after she brought it up). She was giving good ioi's and v flirty. Due to her logistics I ended up grabbing number and saying goodbye on my own accord.
Next day I gave her a call and she didn't pick up, so I decided to try Aleks video message method. I've tried it a few times before (over 6mo ago or more) with decent success, so thought my as well try again. I send 30 second method casual flirty of just me in my apt asking her about her day telling her about mine etc. I don't get a response, but its whatever.
I am on patio a few hours later eating an early dinner and responding to some work messages (I am only one on patio at time) and I hear sound coming from window behind me, after like 10 seconds I realize it is my video message playing on loudspeaker from (presumably her?) apartment. I walk over to open window and hear laughter and they seem to be hiding. My first instinct is "oh this is some flirty game she is playing" and I text her something along the lines of "I see you're trying to get my attention..." but no response and window gets closed. I go back to answering emails, then hear a knock on window right behind me to get my attention again. I glance back but window is slightly tinted and didn't want to walk closer. I finish a few more emails and 10 minutes later leave patio back to my room.
I don't really care about this girl at this point and not sure why I'm posting besides that it was kind of irritating that they were interrupting me in such rude way, obvi they are girls (like 21) so par for the course, but making me question whether video message is too much investment. Perhaps I could've sent better VM but rewatching it there were no obvious problems.
Just such a strange experience I felt the desire to air it out on here and hopefully you find it funny if not have feedback. I am just getting back into approaching after some time off due to shitty location (in much much better one currently), complacency from fwb, and admittedly a bit of coping/excuse making. And I'll be honest as much as intellectually I know they are just silly girls, it definitely feels a bit dejecting to be seemingly mocked that way.
