A girl texts me today on FB saying she's now free free for lunch and adds "text me ;-) ".

I see it and decide to reply tomorrow.

I have a strange sensation though, I was going through her pics just 10 mins ago when, while loadloading a new pic... Page not available.

She blocked me.

In the peevious old messages i mostly replied quick. Now she prolly saw i saw her text and got afraid i didn't want to reply (and prolly autorejected)

There you go, there are no blanket rules, sometime you're better off replying quick :)

lux,

This is probably exactly what happened. The rules still apply (and being aloof is better), but you certainly can't throw the aloofness in her face! If she sees that you saw her message and just ignored it, then she's going to take a huge ego-slap to the face, and blocking you seemed like a pretty rational "female" thing to do at that point.

Moral of the story here is: if you're going to "view" the FB message, then you should respond right away. If you want to avoid responding right away, then avoid viewing the message.

NOTE: There's a third option, and it's what I like to do. The browser version of FB includes the option to "Mark as Unread" for a message. So what you can do is quickly bring up the message and then click that option to make it appear to her (and to you) that you haven't read it yet. I do it all the time ;). (This option is currently not available on the phone app)

Yep, and also the wink thing, to a conservative non party girl that must have seemed such a huge overstretch (and that's what gave me the uneasy feeling i suppose, normal message a couple of days wait might have been ok ).

Franco, I think that option is client-side, only affects your inbox, not the receiver one ...?

Edit : i meant "not the sender one "

Nope! It's server-side and affects what she sees as well. I tested that out with my roommate a long time ago. ;)
