Was I misleading?

So I was at party last night, and I saw a gal that I had a dance class with last term. We talked and danced a little. After a bit, I asked her if she was single (she is) and if she wanted to catch some ice cream sometime soon. She said, "Sure, but I am not looking for a relationship or anything." I said, "yeah, well, neither am I." I got her number anyway.

I am not looking for a relationship immediately, but I wouldn't mind one if it was the right person.

Was I misleading here? I kinda think I made it seem like we should be friends or something...any ideas here? Thanks,

Jack

It depends on how you said "neither am I".

Said with a straight face then it conveys "I just wanna be friends".

Said with a sexy look on your face, or strong eye contact with a pause and smile it conveys non-needy sexual interest.
