been practicing some of the funedementals of the blog trying to get more experience with women. recently asked a former coworker out (we worked together maybe 2 days before she quit) very casually to get lunch sometime. she said she wouldnt mind. then when I asked for her number (the convo is taking place on fb) she hit me with "we can meet as long as its not romanticly inclinded". I replied back with joklingly "lol dont worry i'm not gonna show up at your door step with flowers trying to court you, but i'm curious now are you single?" and left it at that.

she is the consumate "shy and akward" girl chase wrote about not too long ago and i'm trying to break past her defenses. is her saying that mean i'm already dead in the water? obviously if I want to hang out my intentions are somewhat romantic even if just on the casual level.

Your response was fine, although you shouldn't have asked her how she's single, as that puts her higher up then you with her thinking "this guy is obviously really into me".

Once y'all meet up(hopefully alone)just frame her in a romantic way.

a good date brings a smile to your lips... and hers
