Hello gents,
I have a question about the possibility of getting with this girl I know. I had met her last July, but have only seen her a few times at some parties. Only since January have I been texting her. 9 times out of 10, she's the one who initiates the conversation with me. My only concern is that I had been breaking the cardinal rules outlined in the "How to text girls" article (which I now make sure to employ when texting her). And on one occasion, I was out in New York City (we both live on Long Island) with some friends and she texted me saying something along the lines of how she was annoyed at her friends because none of them ever want to head out to the local bars. I interpreted this as her wanting to hang out. So the conversation went something like this:
(Her) Uggh, my friends suck, they dont want to go out.
(Me) I'm in the city right now, what time can you make it here?
(Her) I really wanted to stay local.
(Me) I would get together, but I'm not gonna be back till 2 o clock probably.
(Her) Oh, nevermind, it's okay
-----------------------
That's really all I've got to work with on the subject. I'm 200 miles away from her at school now, but we still stay in touch. My main questions are really did I ruin my chances by making myself too available to talk with her early on? Was my interpretation of her text message correct? Did I have the right reply? and would it be possible to get with her when I'm back during vacation times?
EDIT; After thinking back on it, I realized that we still don't know much about eachother, even some basic stuff, like what sort of music/movies the other one likes. I'm hoping to salvage some intrigue here.
