There is this girl who I go to school with. The first time I saw her was back in summer 2013 in my old school; I could tell she really liked me because she stared at me for a long time every time we saw each other in the hallways. Anyway, I transferred to a new school in Spring 2015, lo and behold I see her again, but this time she was in two of my classes. We continued to make eye contact anytime we saw each other in the hallway of classroom.
Finally, today I decided that I was going to approach her no matter the outcome (even if it turned out to be a complete disaster, I still had to do it). So I sat in my first class dying of nervousness, waiting until the end of class before I made my move. I went up to her and asked her what her name was, where she was from, etc. It actually didn't go as bad as I thought. She seemed to be talking with a little bit of aloofness but I think it was just pretend (I think she was just trying to play hard to get). I asked her if she wanted to do something sometime and asked for her number. She said "yes" but that she was going to meet up with a somebody. She then asked me if I was on break after class and I told her "yes" and that I was going to go each lunch. So she gave me her phone number then told me "sorry for not being so friendly," and I told her she was pretty friendly or something.
1 hour later I messaged her a text saying :
Samantha, it was nice meeting you
-charm
She replied with:
Nice meeting you too
2 hours later I go into the other class we have together. But I don't see her there (she sits all the way across where I sit in a big auditorium). Later she comes with her girlfriend and I text her a message saying:
"You are in class right"
But no reply. I think I saw her show her phone to her friend and her friend said don't reply or something. (I'm not sure, but I think that her friend might be influencing her to act aloof and try to get me to chase her, but idk, maybe I'm just thinking too much).
Nevertheless, can you guys tell me what went wrong here? I think it might be that I didn't reply to her after she sent me the first message but I'm not sure.
I'm a newb, so my skills with women are still rudimentary (shit). Whatever happens though, I'm just glad I went up to her and talked to her because at least I faced my fear head-on.
