What do people mean when they say aloof?

I know the term aloof, but I need an example in an actual situation to better understand what it means.

I am talking to her but in some unemotional, neutral way or something else? I just need some information to help my brain connect some dots and get that epiphany moment :)

I give you an example of an old friend you met and He likes to disturb you before in the past.

Cedric: HEY!
Zac: HI! How are you?
Cedric: It's been awhile since i see you
Zac: Yea, me too, you probably must be busy with work.
Cedric: Yea, i remember how you like Jenny. You know all those love letters.
Zac: *Looks at Cedric neutrally*
Cedric: YOu try to make her love you and all that shit, HAHAHA!
Zac: *Looks at Cedric neutrally*
Cedric: Right, right, right? You're lame man.
Zac: *Looks at Cedric with neutrally*

Cedric shuts up, Zac tooks out a magnum handgun and put him in a bodybag.. Nah joking. :)

Not a good example, but basically just look at someone like he's a retard. YOu don't do this unless a person is really that irritating. Most people are cool and you can laugh with them abit but some can take it too excessive. So yea. :)

Thank you Zac! That helps out a lot! I thought acting aloof was acting confused. Like people are running away from a bomb but you're standing right next to it, confused as to what all the ruckus is about.

Again, thanks for the clarification!

It is acting confused, in a way. IT's telling people that it doesn't register in your head, what they trying to implement. A very good example why you have to move forward with girls is because they will "act confused" and pretend they don't know anything, when in fact, you have to push abit until she firmly says no, and just wash rinse repeat on the process of getting girls.

I hope this will help :)
