What is your philosophy of cheating?

I was thinking about seduction strategy and attractiveness theory, and one principle stood out: a man with options is an attractive man.

Is a corollary of this that having a mistress/side chick will make your wife/gf will put you in an independent mindset that makes you more attractive to the main woman?

I know there are lots of moral claims here that I want to say are completely valid, but I'd like to put them to he side for now. I am talking about practical truths here.
