I have meet a girl at party, she came talk to me, right from the start I proposed her that we sit together, the conversation went greatly. At some point she stroked one of my thigh during a few seconds. Few minutes after I touch her hand because she was talking to me about a scar she had.
At some point she told me that she has a boyfriend but that this is recent and she already at she already know that is not "the one". I asked what this poor guy had done wrong for her already knowing that. Then I asked for her contact details, I asked her her insta (I prefer that because I live not in the same city as her and I think it is better to keep in touch over extended period of time ), but she preferred to give me her WhatsApp. I joked that it is because she has pictures of her with her boyfriend, she denied it and said she doesn't use it much.
All of that was maybe during 15-20 minutes.
Then we go to talk to other people, then not long after she came back next to me again and say something like "let's go search for the champaign" in the kitchen.
We went in the kitchen, we were alone, I opened the fridge to take a bottle of champaign, she took it and at this point I tried to kiss her. She didn't complied and said "He is crazy". Then I acted like nothing happen, we brought back to champaign to the main room, and we splitted again.
My attempt was probably not that great. I should have probably test her compliance with a smaller thing before, or keep increasing the heat with some other thing than a kiss. I rushed things too much. But I interpreted her asking to go to the kitchen as an escalation window.
Her boyfriend arrived maybe 30 minutes after (I wasn't aware he was coming to the party). One of my friend arrived also about at the same time. I learned that this friend had already fucked her something like 6 months ago (he is a natural very good with women so that doesn't surprise me at all). At some point I saw my friend talking with her and their vibe was kind of flirty and sexual (despise the girl's boyfriend being at the party).
Anyway, I didn't get to talk to her again after this failed kissed attempt. It seems it killed the flirt between us. But the other factor is also because her boyfriend had arrived, plus my friend. Myself I was talking with other girls during this time, and got laid with one of them.
But regarding this girl, I have her WhatsApp, what should I do?
Should I just re-engage the conversation like nothing happened? It feels kind of awkward but maybe I am overthinking it.
