When should you just leave and/or when should you plow ahead?

I've been running into a problem lately of not knowing when it's okay to persist or not. Of course I'm still really shy when it comes to approaching but I can't seem to find the trigger or sign I should look out for when I cold approach a girl of when should I keep going or not.

Like for example, If I tell a girl she's cute and she ignores me. Should I tell her again so she hears me, do I immediately start conversation, or should just drop it and leave her.

Of course with her body language I'd think the proper route would not follow up because she's not interested but I hear alot field reports when I guy saves himself because the girl had a bad day or was nervous. But then again when I try to drop it I feel sad and awkward. It almost as if the girl is thinking out loud "I'm the shit! Look at this dumb loser approach me. He doesn't know what to do now. He's lost for words."

You only feel sad and awkward, though, because this is your assumption of what she's thinking. You really have no idea what she's thinking at all so you have no basis to make an assumption like the one above.

Anyhow, onto your actual question; when should you plow ahead? Check this article out.

Get away from those assumptions though; instead of feeling depressed, try celebrating that you're even approaching. You're ahead of 95% of guys already so celebrate that step.
