I've mentioned here before in other posts about a girl I was aggressively pursuing at my work. I had asked her out and given her my number on two occasions, but she had to move and couldn't focus on a relationship at the moment.
I spend the summer talking to other girls and working on my skills, being realistic about her ever calling me. Nine weeks after she leaves, she shows up at my work to get some paperwork for her new job and we see each other. She's talking to one of our custodians, but she stops to say hi and we chat for a second. Her friend is waiting in the car, so she's in a hurry. The custodian finishes talking to her, then the girl tells me bye, I say it was good seeing her again, she says likewise, I wish her good luck with her new job, and she leaves.
So did I do the right thing in being cordial, playing it off like things are cool and not trying to push for another date (hey we should catch up or how long are you in town or let's have lunch) after only thirty seconds of conversation and when she's in a hurry? I had ignored her before at work and had her interest come back to me. Is acting like you're unfazed when you run into her better at getting her interested again or should you just go for it?
