Recently I went on a date with a girl to hangout and get ice cream. After about 30/40 minutes I asked if she want to go for a walk, which she complied. I knowingly started walking to my place in town, and invited her to come in for a little. After this point I started to escalate and started making out, she seemed to be enjoying it, but then I hit a wall and all of the sudden she had to go meet up with a friend. I texted her a couple times to try and get her out again, but it was a no go. It kind of felt like she was uncomfortable and was awkward when she was leaving. I'm thinking I didn't build enough rapport with her. What are your thoughts on when to pull? What went wrong here?

A lot of it is in the undertone though... how did you meet? Did you meet and spend a night hanging out? Or was it a quick number?
Did she see this as a real date or a friends thing? How did she view you from previous interaction? As a hookup or a guy looking to date her? Did you push for sex too fast?
Lets say you met her for a short time, got a number then set a date for ice-cream and less than an hour later pushed for sex... it seems too rushed.
