doctor mike mews can explain how to improve your facial features, fix a sagging face, strengthen your jawline
long and the short of it is - due to a number of reasons including "soft" modern food and breathing problems many of us have a narrow dental arch, meaning the tongue doesn't fit properly into the mouth. this causes us to hang our mouth open for comfort on the tongue, which exacerbates the problem, causing your face to grow down instead of forward.
instead, we should concentrate on "lips together, teeth together, tongue on the roof of your mouth". this way the tongue will act as a natural brace to the teeth, causing them to grow straighter and wider.
once being a gormless-looking, mouth breathing teenager i can attest to this, although i didn't end up looking too bad, i definitely have a narrow dental arch (which i only somewhat recently was made all too aware of when buying and molding my gumshields for martial arts. looking at the mold of my teeth was shocking) and somewhat of a long face which .. yeah hindsight's a bitch, but i could have definitely improved my looks had i known this.
anyway, it's probably too late for me but i'm gonna give it six months of "mewing" and see what happens. it's not easy, it takes conscious effort and is tiring on the jaw, constantly trying to squeeze my tongue up onto the roof of my mouth where it doesn't quite fit. i'm super conscious of it now - i notice how my teeth hang open slightly to accommodate my tongue, coz it has nowhere else to go.
anyway, here's some links
