Why'd she delete my number?

Hey fellas, quick post cause I'm curious about this...

(I'm in college) A couple months ago I met this girl doing a group project...

Vibe and conversation was good, bit of sexual humor, I got food with her and her friend and got her number at the end. She invited me to study with her and also to sit with her during class.

I wanted to make a move but figured I'd wait till the group project was done. But then turns out she and her friend sat like 4 rows in front of where me and my friends sit during class, and I kept seeing her but not talking to her (my friends in that class are all girls, I felt it would be awkward lol).

So the semester just now ended and I figured I'd shoot her a message. It's been like 2 months since we last texted and I said "Hey hey, is this still X?". Maybe a weird text but whatever

She responded "I'm sorry who is this"


Looks like she deleted my number but I wonder why?

Maybe it was auto-rejection cause she saw me talking to a bunch of girls in class and I didn't offer to hang out with her? Still, kinda strange to just delete someone's number, no?

Sorry to be blunt, but who cares? What's more important is you didn't make a move. If anything ignoring her invitations is a lot more of a cold shoulder than deleting the number of someone who doesn't seem interested.

Just ignore it and seduce her again.

I think this is a classic case of knowing what probably went wrong at a gut level.. but not coming to terms with it. @Will_V is right, you didnt sit with her, she took it as a rejection.
