Hey guys,

I have a desk job where I scan papers. Literally thats it. I scan for 8 hours 5 days a week. Sometimes its interesting because the people are fun but sometimes the boredom is just awful and i cant get myself to focus. Im not gonna quit though because it pays $13 an hr and i dont want to work in a supermarket or some retail (point is, im not quitting, at least any time soon).

What are some boring jobs you have/had, and your strategies for overcoming boredom, passing the time, and being more productive?

Have a good one, everyone

There's a number actually, that is if you know the right people. I know people who do almost nothing, get paid for doing nothing, literally.

Administrative side, Logistics side where you carry stuff if there's shipment, If there isn't, you be slacking the whole day. So yea, finding the right connections. :)

Hey PatriotsRule,

I currently work as a concierge/security guard. It's boring as fuck, and the hours are hella late, but the benefits are that I have a computer and unlimited internet, and do next to no real work for my money. I never see my bosses either which is absolutely crucial for me. To pass the time, I teach myself to code and build websites.

Give it a few months however, when I have the coding down, I'll quit for good and start freelancing. Despite the job's benefits, the entrepreneurial life is calling me, and I hate the fact that I spend most of my time stuck here when I need to be street approaching!
