The more and more I read GC and other seduction material, the more I get the impression that the end goal is to just get laid a shit ton but disregard social life and friendships. It seems like social life is the same thing as getting laid for a lot of the guys who frequent these communities while the thought of having friends, a social circle, and meeting new interesting people to make a part of your life never enters their head.

It makes me wonder if a guy, especially in adulthood, can actually have both or if getting laid a lot comes at a sacrifice.

When I read the material I get the image of guy who fucks a lot of different women but he is really lonely because he has no guy friends to lean on, no social circle, and no friends in general in his life. He is the type of guy that has some "purpose" (job or business) and the game and fundamentals he learns satisfy his sexual urges but that is all.

I wonder if that is realistic end goal, to get a lot of sex but not have any friends or fulfilling social relationships whatsoever because you're too obsessed with chasing pussy.

Is this the cost of getting laid a lot? The fact that you don't make any friends or have any social relationships along the way?

I'd say its the complete opposite. The kind of skills you'll develop in being good at seducing women are the kind of things that will also help you develop more powerful and meaningful friendships and social connections outside of sex.

Confidence, preparation, social awareness, logistical capabilities, fashion sense, communication skills etc are things that make you an all-around appealing person to spend time with, regardless of gender. I have four times as many friends after studying this stuff for a few years as I did before, and none of them are in the pickup community. Very few people even have any idea that I've studied pickup

Having a good social life and developing friendships will make you more able to relate to women. +1000 to the idea that no one should view you as someone who studied pickup in the way you present yourself.

The biggest part of seduction is recognizing when you have a woman sexually attracted to you. To many times I see guys trying to manufacture her attraction and it has the opposite effect.
