I'll be brief, gentleman.
1 month causal relationship with lots of affection, open relationship by default by the end of the month. She goes to Canada for the summer, initially wants me to visit. Time goes on, communication starts out really flirty but slows down. A month out, and the momentum has stalled (I never sported an advanced txting game, always just used it to set things up). As of late, exchanges are no longer flirty or affectionate.
After four or five days of no contact, I msg her about whether visiting at a certain date would still be good, and she sends back a paragraph about logistics, saying I'd be in her room of course but that on that weekend there wouldn't be room for her friend, with whom I'd said I'd be tagging along. She didn't necessarily know this, as initially we had discussed my taking the bus up and visiting for longer, but I had decided that would be too much. I reply "sounds like the next weekend would be better? By then I'll have my scores and we can celebrate" (reference to the LSAT). She replies two days later, at 4 am, saying "sure if that works for [name of friend]"
Should I still visit? I'm not sure how to navigate through the possibilities of her having a new fuck buddy up there, and generally how to act so that when she gets back after the summer we can resume. I'm seeing other people, but I enjoyed her company more than these, and she's fairly oddball, so I'd like to keep it going. Maybe it's best to just go silent and let her come around if she wants? Even if she's like "ok" in her mind with me visiting, it could send a needy message. On the other hand, maybe if I give her great sex, it will re-fan the flames?
