Your Typical, Friend Who Has a Boyfriend...

So I met my (now) friend at my last job. I got to know her at work and eventually got her number and we started hanging out. Somewhere between all of this she dropped the universal line of "so my boyfriend..." and I just about died. Because at this point I felt as though there was no point in continuing to even communicate with this girl. But I am young and naive I will certainly admit, so to this day I text her frequently and we both make time to spend time together as "friends" in order to fulfill that certain female's place in this point in my life. I consider it a relationship without the physical contact because I can pretty much tell her anything and we get along very well and have similar interests. The physical contact portion brings me to the topic of this discussion. So, recently we have been attending parties together (without the boyfriend but with her best gal friend). And both of us are the type to just relax instead of truly partying. At parties and any time we are together really and there is a place to sit (couch, bed, etc.) we sit together and sit very close. We've practically laid upon one another in my bed and we are constantly flirting and touching. This is what is so confusing to me. Is this all just her flirting with her best guy friend? Or is it her showing signs of interest? Because after all (and I am being honest and not bragging), I am better looking and more successful than her current boyfriend. I am just really distraught because I have feelings for this girl beyond the means of friendship and I do not know where or how to proceed. Every day I consider slowly cutting off communication to the point where I am just a memory, but she just brings me right back. I just need some opinions on what to do from those who might know, thank you.
