Hi Guys,
Note: Wanted to put this on General or off-topic but decide to write it here.
I have a receive a comment on my post to Chase on Madonna/whore complex. Apparently i learn by myself why a reasonable number of people or half of Westerners and Europeans are quite piss off by a certain group. Here's why a certain religion or any religion will not rule the world today, tomorrow or in the future, unless something big happens. This is real and not blown out of proportion nonsense. Why any religion will not rule the world, but instead "Western way" will stay
1)Human Hypocrisy
There's too much human hypocrisy going on a ground and social level. Even slut-shaming is a class warfare and it is not about "goodwill" for society or let alone it is about religion.
2)There's too many people fighting for their own interest.
You can see this everywhere. From community centers to markets to Iphone vs Android. IT doesn't take much to actually see the world as it is.
3)IF any religion rules the world, It won't last long or it will be like America, pretty much
Almost every empires adopt their predecessors ideals. One example is The Ottoman Empire was successful because it adopts, steals technology/ideas from their conquest. In today's context, Pornography, Music industry are just two things that is just too good to turn down. Plus, Human hypocrisy.
So expect to see "Western way" live on probably forever.
4)That certain religion only has 5% to 10% followers
That particular religion that guy mentions only has 5% to 10% followers. Catholics has about 85% to 95%. So yeap.
5)Too many mix marriages. Too many cultural mixes that newer cultures born (It creates confusion to real religion and clouds religion and culture, which is two different things)
There is mix marriages today, many cultural mixes. With different religion interpretations, also has mixing of religion and culture. So there is a lot of entanglement going on.
You see Arab men dating white chicks this days. You see Arab men having parties, getting drunk. You see Asians are pretty much the same.
6)The Internet and Education. There's "awakened" people/religious followers as well who recognize the religion propaganda.
One example of this is the ISIS. Recently, a reasonable number of leaders (100 religious leaders i presume) wrote a letter, declaring that they do not support such ridiculous matter. Almost every government around the world declared no association with ISIS.
This is just one example. Look Bill Maher, Arabs Criticism videos on Youtube and you will get what i mean. Even in Arab countries today, there is civil war, and fighting for own's interest.
The most profound thing is learning that even "religious feminist" exist!
7)Youths today do not care about religion. Youths today care about religion. So they have their own problems as well
Youths today do not care/care about religion. There's divisions. One division is "You only live once". You know the whole college, party, drunk, sex. Then there's another division, where they want to change the world because their religious leaders fuck things up and that there's hope and all the naivety that every youths has.
So they have their own personal interest, battles within their own.
8)Religious scholars vs Astronomers
For religions (depending what it is). To have a holiday, you have to the moon at this place or that place in the hemisphere. Unfortunately, in today's context, it doesn't follow like this. All our holidays are based on calendar.
So as much as you like to believe religious leaders are brainwashing you, Look again. Even our holidays are calendar-based!!
9)History always repeats itself. Cycle of destructing themselves.
IF you read history on any subject, and i suggest you do, you realize most of us are not as smart as we think. We tend to go in cycles. Create, Prosperous, Destroy ourselves, is the pattern for human beings.
I mean, you do not need to look far. Example: You like a girl, Become oneitis, Lose the girl. (in dating context)
10)North Korea, Certain Middle East countries
A country whom is too oppressive will have divisions. Even in North Korea, there is a current power struggle within the government. Citizens flocking to China and the South. So there is a lot going on.
11)Too many Religion Interpretations
Too many religious teachers today starts teaching and all of them have different school of thoughts. All of them have different religion interpretations. Pretty much like the self-help industry, you see many books.
Money is one thing. Genuine information is another. They need to survive too.
11)They will self-destruct
They will self-destruct because most religious people, almost all of them tend to cherrypick, nitpick or whatever pick their own agenda. They lack real objective and patience.
They have human flaws like personal interest. IT will mess with the religion itself.
13)It will be modeled like Singapore (can be bias here)
Singapore modeled it religious groups onto themselves without any religion interfering in politics. I see this going to be a model for most countries in the years to come, although most countries are already like this.
We probably see a stricter division between religion and politics and individual.
