I have been thinking about this for quite some time and I think this is the reason I even came to this forum in the first place. The reason I came here is because I was depressed, angry, and just a sexless loser but thanks to some of the advice given here, I turned it around in the past year. Now I was debating with myself on whether or not I should post this in the lifestyle section but I decided to just post it here since some of it is relevant to getting women. The thing I have realized in the past months is that what has made me happy is what will make most men out there happy if they have it. A lot of you will not agree with me here but I actually believe that I am on to something so give it a read. I believe that if a guy has these things in life, he will live a happy life.
1. Health and peak fitness.
Not being sick or having a major disability applies here but I also say peak fitness in the form of good looks as well. I have rarely seen guys that have six packs who were considered ugly by women even if their faces were plain looking, most of the times I notice that guys with six packs tend to have desirable facial features due to lower body fat percentage. I truly believe that being in good health and looking your best plays a big role in happiness it won't do it by itself. You don't have to look like Chris Evans to be happy but the fact is that having above average looks is a possibility for a good number of men simply because most men do not try that hard to look their best. Eating well, good sleep, exercise, and a lot of other things that play a major role in looks also contribute to overall quality of life.
2. Good relationship with your family.
A lot of guys out there have had major disagreements with their parents but I think we need to make peace with them. I feel like a healthy relationship with your family can go a long way in your overall happiness. After having slept with a few girls that have daddy issues, I can see where the misery comes from. I won't go that much into this but it is important.
3. A close group of male friends (aka "bros").
Guys who you have a lot in common with and have similar interests as you. Basically a cool group of male friends that uplift you, ones you can chill with, and those that are awesome to be around. Think about cool frat bro types that can wing you when you are out at bars and those you can have some decent conversations with. The kind of friends you can talk to your achievements about and won't get jealous of you. Slept with that hot girl? Tell these guys about it and they will feel good for you. I think if you have anywhere from 2-5 friends like this, you'll be happy. It is a part of the reason fraternities are so popular in college, you have a group of guys that support each other, party together, go to amazing vacations, and chase girls which brings me to the next thing on the list.
4. A girlfriend that is at least decent looking or sex from cute girls, the main reason you probably joined this site.
Any girl you can fuck while sober and can go out with in public without feeling embarrassed, you don't need a 9 or 10, or even an 8 but anywhere in the 6 or 7 range. The main reason you probably joined this site is so you can get that hot girl of your dreams but chances are if she is good looking enough (not ugly), you will settle for her anyways. I think that we underestimate how much validation from getting women whether it is having a hot girlfriend or sleeping with hot girls on the regular can do to a man's happiness. Now ideally, we would all love to sleep with 9s and 10s as much as we can but unless you're an A-List actor, that is just not a possibility. On the other hand, I do feel like a lot of guys can sleep with 6s and maybe even an occasional 7 on the regular if they have their shit together.
The feeling you get once you sleep with a hot girl and your bros hear about it, priceless!
5. Source of decent income aka success in your career, craft, or business.
I don't think you need to be a millionaire and depending on your location, you don't even need a six figure income but I do feel like you need the type of money that covers necessities (groceries, gas, etc.) and allows you to enjoy life every now and then. The magic number seems to be 80k a year from some studies but I think it is all dependent on area. Guys living in NYC and Los Angeles will need a hell of a lot more than 80k to truly enjoy life at its finest as those places are expensive to live in. Guys living in some cities might only need 60k or even less to enjoy life. Hard to put a number on salary tbh, the kind of money needed is one that covers the necessities and allows you enjoy life every now and then. You don't need a mansion with a Lamborghini at all but money does matter.
The other part of #5 is some success in your craft. Imagine being a football player that wins games and makes plays or a guy that is doing well at work to where he gets a promotion, I feel like this ties in with making money which is why I put them together. It is okay to have hobbies but you have to feed yourself and have some money to truly enjoy life. A guy whose business is doing well or another guy who has a nice job lined up that will pay him a salary that allows him to enjoy life (pay off necessities and have some money to spend on other things he wants) has number 5 covered.
Success in your career, craft, or business helps in building confidence and not making you feel like a loser in life.
That about covers it.
A guy that has all those 5 points covered will be happy in life. I think this is the reason why you see some people who are rich and successful but they're miserable too, because they only have number 5. You also see guys who seem to have it all on the outside, the good looks and the cash but they are so miserable, I think it is because they lack at least two of those five things.
Ultimately, I believe that once we have the game mastered and accomplished what we really wanted in terms of getting laid and landing girls, we should build on the other aspects of our lives. Only issue is that once you finish college, number 3 becomes hard as hell to achieve.
