However, I'd be careful of using a girl from work "for practice". Especially one you're not all that attracted to.
It's easy to slip into a relationship that you don't really want with a less-than-ideal girl, just because you are in scarcity and don't have other options. And it's very hard to get out of that situation. It has happened to me several times and it's not fun.
I imagine it will be even harder if you see the girl every day at the work place...
EDIT: I mean, every girl is probably "less than ideal". And so are all of us guys. We all have our upsides and downsides. What I meant to say is, 1. be careful not to take things too far with a girl you wouldn't normally be attracted to. If you see her once or twice and then say goodbye that's one thing, but that won't be possible if you're colleagues. And 2., "don't shit where you eat"
