A Farewell Letter from Just_Dave

Hey gents,

As some of you noticed, Just_Dave has closed up shop on his account. He's returned to his former calling, and asked us to shutter his membership on the forum, which we've done, per his request. I'm sorry to see him go, personally; he's a good guy.

I reached out to Dave and asked him if he had a farewell message he'd like me to share with the guys here, since he's been an active contributor and helped a lot of guys and I know he counts many of you as friends and you no doubt count him as one as well. Here's what he replied with to share with you on his behalf:

Hello all,

I recently left Girlschase in pursuit of my ambition to become a preacher. I've always had a calling to become one, and I'm turning away from my lifestyle. I don't want to be a hypocrite so I'm siding with my religion and following my purpose. This was my own choice, and I'm leaving on my own will. "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me." I Cor 13:11 I don't consider myself above anyone on these boards. We are all the same and we have the same desires, it's what we do with those desires that defines us. For fellow Christians please head my words. For everyone else please be blessed in all your endeavors, I will remember you all as I go about life, in my own direction. In truth my morals got in the way and I didn't want my tools (no pun intended to "The Tool") to be used to hurt women. I'm a huge fan of planned parenting right now.

On a more happier note to continue to fellowship with you all on different topics, feel free to email me here.

It was cool interacting with you guys and sharing ideas. Any Christian who is feeling a certain way feel free to contact me. Anyone else of any religion contact me, I love hearing about everyone's walk in life.

I never would have thought a forum would be able to produce the kind of bonds and friendships that it has! It's amazing, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of this. I've lost a lot of friends and I've become distant from people simply because I don't feel as though they offer me the same value. When I come onto the forum; however, I feel at ease and I really admire the amount of respect and generosity provided on this forum; it really does feel like a community!

Sad to see Dave go, he had a lot of insightful advice that I'm sure has helped several guys on here, I being one of them. I respect that he's following his dreams, and be that a lesson to you all. Don't do something because society tells you to do it, or your parents/friends even the people on here pressure you to do something. Do something because you want it for yourself, improve because you want to be the best. Never lose that hunger, and although this site advocates that one should try to follow their logic as much as possible, sometimes we need that balance in following our heart to feel a true sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.

In the back of my mind, i somehow knew he was the kind of guy whom is in peace with who he is. It's somewhat my intuition i guess. The preacher objective was not surprising. From day 1, the way he writes his post and responses to me was warmth and always accommodating.

I'm not so keen on Black Ops, i don't play it often. But it was great sharing ideas with him. I wish him all the best, for his life, his present goals, and more prosperity.

So are we retiring the picture of Brad Pitt from Troy? No man is allowed to have that as an avatar now. Troy and Benjamin Button are probably Brad Pitt's best films.

I'm am happy for Dave, That is awesome. We should all take a lesson from him. Pursue your dreams and settle for nothing less.
I am going to miss Just_Dave on these forums, one of the most insightful guys on this forum.
Its crazy how bonds can be formed over something like this forum, I've never met the guy but i do consider him a friend, As I do many of you on here.
