There was a girl standing in the entrance of a super market. She was beautiful and she looked inside the market with a cute smile on her lips. I was standing inside and putting ketchup onto my sandwich.
When I was done I went out and asked her: “Why are you smiling this way?”
She said: “I just had to smile because of my friends…”
There were two male friends, standing at the cash point. I they said „Aah okay.“ and left. I thought it would be no good idea talking to her, as she was there with two male friends (of which one might have been her boyfriend).
I then went to the library.
There was a girl at the lockers in the library. I stood there, eating my sandwich. She was very pretty. She opened her locker and packed up her stuff. I thought about making a compliment about her shirt. It was blue. She also had blue fingernails and the library bag was also blue.
I imagined saying something like: „Hey, I really like your shirt. The color fits perfect to your nails and the bag as well.“
But guess what. I came up with some silly excuses to avoid talking to her. I said to myself: “I better wait until I’m done eating my sandwich.” Then another man arrived and I thought: “Better wait until that man has gone, so he won’t see what I am doing here.” When the man was gone (the girl was still there), other people were coming and I couldn’t do it because of the same reason.
Then she left and I beat myself up for it! How can I improve?
