This is a simple thing, but find it worth posting. Don't introduce yourself using the shortened version of your name. That's what your FRIENDS call you.
For instance, I go by Jim but my name is actually James. Jim? Sounds like a "buddy". James? It's more proper and distinguished. You're so awesome you don't NEED a nickname
Look at the list of names and shortened versions below and tell me which ones are sexier:
Jim vs James
Rick vs Richard
Bill vs William
Marty vs Martin
Mike vs Michael
Jeff vs Jeffery
Eddie vs Edward
Ken vs Kenneth
Lee vs Leonard
Tom vs Thomas
All of the latter seem to just roll off the tongue. Using your full name just has a bit of je ne sais quoi (if you will). And, if she notices someone calling you the short version, just tell her: "Well... that's what my FRIENDS call me" *sexy wink* and at some point she will start using the shortened version (or better yet, ask you for permission to) and you can say: "yeah I think you're almost there..." *sexy smile* and she will melt.
Just a nice little tidbit you can add that will help to make you seem different from all the "Tom, Dick and Harry's" out there
Cheers,
NJ
