So this is kind of inspired by a thread a forum poster made about his work circle harassing him into hanging out with them or introducing them to women after initially dismissing him. I kind of noticed something over the years about not just people like this but women who are likely to congregate to these circles or just value status a lot. Some of what I said might be very bigoted here and even borderline racist so please check me mods.
Cultures that value image, are more narcissistic, materialistic, and such.
I have noticed that cultures, even regions within an area, where people value things like social perception a lot, being at the "top", having fame/status, and being huge into social media; are trying to cover up for something. One thing I notice is that the people might not be as genetically beautiful so the women overcompensate by wearing tons of make up, being selfie queens, and trying to get as much attention from men as people. Such women might even enjoy dissing guys or rejecting guys because it fuels their own ego. Meanwhile, the men might be shorter or not as genetically gifted either so they compensate by being extra douchey, acting extra tough, and trying to take roids to come off as more masculine.
It's like in places, areas, cultures, ethnic groups, and those where this is common; the people are trying to cover up for something.
It's like the new rich vs old rich mentality, the new rich want to desperately matter and show off while the old rich are more subtle. The new rich want to have the fanciest toys, show them off to the world, and tell everyone how they are better. Old rich are more subtle and less showy because they know they are the wealthy. Even the trust fund kids from these families show off differently than the overcompensating new rich.
Are "exclusive" night clubs all that?
I noticed one guy, think Alek Rolstad was his name, said that exclusive nightclubs are bad for game because most people in them are try hards anyways. I found this too, it was mainly people trying to look cool. Once you got to know them, you saw that a lot of them had their troubled backstory which usually involved being newly rich or just a poor person trying to cover up for being poor. The term goes 40k millionaires I believe, not sure what it is where you guys are at. Alek was on to something there and I think it reflects even on game. One older soul told me 7s are harder to game than 9s.
A tale of two New Yorks.
NYC is considered one of the richest cities in the US if not the world, maybe I am off but it is damn important as a city.
I have had the chance to visit and even stay there in my early and mid-twenties. At one point, I noticed something. In certain areas of the city such as richer more peaceful parts of Manhattan (relatively speaking), you had the old money wealth with rich WASPs and rich Jews. A lot of these people were not showy with massive houses, they were rich but you didn't know it. Some of their kids tried to hide the wealth and hide being rich until it came time to see their old circle. I had a couple of Jewish friends from millionaire families like this. The women from these upbringings were also naturally beautiful, like tall and facially symmetric, the genetics were there.
Then you had places like Jersey and Long Island where some rich might have owned houses but it was more middle class rich and showy new money rich. Even the Hamptons were seen as a status symbol where new rich could be validated as having "made it" but the old rich didn't really bother as much with the politics. Mainly all Italian, Irish, and more Eastern European (mostly Polish) people whose kids were very showy about the wealth, very much geared to becoming top dog socially, and social ladder climbing behaviors like none other as well.
The women were largely more of your stereotypical selfie heavy types, obsessed with social media, and constantly trying to look cool. Even their look was more plastic and less natural.
I wonder if I am just too bored from quarantine and rationalizing shit or am I really on to something?
