Answering the Question "What Do You Do For Work?"

What's a good answer(s) to that question when a girl asks you what you do (and I am an engineering student with no work just school)?

Meeting girls at university I can just say I'm an engineering student and tie in some byronic vulnerability that I'm not too sure about it and it's pretty difficult etc.

But what's the serious answer you give when you're not doing anything in particular and you meet girls outside of university (who ask what you do/what line of work you're in)?

I remembered just now the response I used to give for this a while back (provided it fit the situation and the girl):

Girl: What do you do?
Me: Oh I kind of just stay at home and play with myself all day

And then would get a range of responses from "eww haha", to "oh that's interesting, ok" to "me too!!"

Or you can set up a chase frame and tell her, "I don't know if you're ready to know that just yet". Works pretty well.
