Fellas, quick one:

If I have a brunch date at 11:30 AM, what would you do for an anti-flaking text? "Heading out, see you soon"–type thing around 11 AM? Or sooner?

The date was finalized 4 days in advance.

Thanks!

What you have sounds good, you could also use "We still on for today?" I believe the one you chose is an effective choice though.

Marty,

I've never done a "brunch" date before, but I would probably send something 2-3 hours before. My strategy these days is that I wait until the day of to include the location we'll be meeting at, so the text seems "natural" rather than "I'm checking to see if we're still on" type of text. So if it were me, my text would probably look like this:

Me: "Hey Lindsay, how does Joe's Diner sound for brunch this morning? :)"
Her: "Sounds great!"

NOTE: The time would have been arranged in the initial text conversation where we arranged the date.
