Since my plan to travel to Mexico and the Americas got canned by Covid, I decided to move back to my Mothers in rural Okanagan Canada, where I grew up. I realized, fuck, I'm surrounded by nature; lakes, mountains, endless trails and space. So I sold my new Ipad pro, which I never used, and spent that money on hiking, trekking gear. A 65 liter Teton backpack, sleeping pad, cook gear, an ultra light tent (Cloud up 2), hiking shoes, a smaller excursion backpack, knife, light weight mummy bag. I've been doing some 6 hour hikes, and one car camping trip. But I though... hey, fuck it... I could walk across my province, British Columbia.

I'm also into bushcrafting. just watching Youtube vids, and planning to make my own shelter, learn how to identify plants, etc.

Anyone here have any experience with this sort of back country camping, trekking, bushcrafting?
