Say you're in night bar, and there's a group of girls sitting at a table or standing somewhere, talking to each other.
Say you manage to successfully approach them and you start a conversation with all of them but focus on one.
Not to miss the escalation window, you want to move with her after say 7-8 minutes. My impression is that some girls, even if they want to move with you, feel some sort of pressure from their girlfriends not to (some of their girlfriends sometimes really act like bodyguards watching your every move).
I was thinking of something to turn this thing around, for example, while putting an arm around the target girl, looking at her girlfriends and asking in confident yet humorous way: "I am gonna steal your girlfriend for a couple of minutes, don't be mad at me"
the idea is to do it in a way that generates some laughter in her girlfriends so that they feel more permissive in letting you take her away.
