She was still half a room across me so I made no effort in trying to talk to her any further and started speaking to the people around me, I knew she would come back for more. She kept staring at me and about 20 minutes later I order her to sit next to me. She does as she is told quietly.

Gives you a little more notoriety in school, but it's iffy notoriety (he isn't discreet, with discretion being one of the biggest signs of a guy who really sees action - comes with experience), and it's at the expense of anything happening with this girl. She'll be too scared of a repeat, and you've already shown her you won't look out for her reputation.

Don't let tension reach this point in public in front of social circles. Instead, defuse it before it gets this tense and trade numbers or set up a date instead. Kiss (and more) on the date... in private.

If not for the dropped ball by escalating things too far in public in front of your and her social circle, you probably could've gotten far with this one. At this point, your best hope for recovery is having her see you get preselection with other girls flirting with you, either in class or at a party (party's probably the best bet; then once she shows interest, very discreetly take her somewhere isolated - biggest hurdles with her now are overcoming her auto-rejection, then communicating that you can be and usually are discreet).

And, of course... look out more for girls' reputations for them in the future. They can't help it if they lose all sense around you
