Avoiding Prescriptivism Reminder

Was looking through my notes and found something perhaps useful for people here as a simple reminder to think for yourself, even though I suspect most of the regulars here are well aware of this common error and are vigilant in its aversion.

Most people today expect to be given prescriptions of "how to do it yourself" -- but that won't work here, nor for any other personal experience which everyone can only have by and for himself. So you must free yourself from expecting prescriptions. However, a discussion of approaches may be possible with those who free themselves of expecting prescriptions.

So look at Chase's guides to seduction and approaching as just that -- approaches that have worked for Chase. Just don't be afraid to experiment with your own things, because that's where you're going to derive much of your confidence from.
