I work a 9-5 that's 40 hours a week but often up to 50 hrs a week. I still have time to work out consistently 3-4 days a week, diet, and pickup a lot. I go out at least 2 week nights a week plus every Friday and Saturday night and also try to keep a regular date rotation. I try not to let a day go by without doing at least 1 whole hearted approach unless I have a date in which I am still practicing pickup skills. I have an energetic 2 yr old dog that I also have to diligently exercise for an hour a day and I am very adamant about her care in this matter and training.
I sometimes sacrifice sleep to maintain this but setting boundaries up for myself is key. I purposely worked with my boss to get hours from 9-530, vs the standard 7-330 that everyone else in my department works. I actually really enjoy my job but do not get to use a ton of pickup skills during the day.
I allow myself 1 night during the week for four hours of sleep and the rest I get 7 hours no matter what. If I'm in the middle of a pull, oh well too bad I have to get sleep. I do slip up on this but I find that ultimately is more harmful than good. This practice in setting personal boundaries has helped my game and drive more than hurt. It's a good practice in self discipline.
It has taken a lot of mental practice to where I can keep up a schedule this busy. Meditation and visualization and affirmations help me push through tired and work hard and pickup hard while maintaining my body. I also am careful to listen to my mind and body and take a night off when needed. I find it key to never let myself be stressed about anything and cut off my mind with meditation if I start over analyzing everything. I usually affirm to myself that I am the best and will do whatever it takes to reAch my goals on a daily basis. I try to incorporate strict mental practices that are associated with actions, for instance I do affirmations and fundamentals visualization at work, and turn off music and informally meditate on my drive to and from work very purposefully.
I do smoke weed occasionally to fall asleep quickly and when off nights are needed, it keeps me happy staying in because not going out on most nights feels wrong and induces anxiety after the habit is formed.
I can rarely incorporate pickup at my work but I do incorporate it in all other things I do. I do eat out a lot even tho it is not economical in order to pickup more after work. I only use work to read and research and analyze pickup when I can during lunch and after everyone leaves the office. I do most of my writing for the boards during these times and reading articles.
I also make sure I spend a few hours in the sun on the weekend to have a nice tan.
Anyway, it's totally possible it's just a mater of how much you want it and how goal oriented and driven you are. I have a pretty regimented day in this way now, however regimenting pickup is basically just regimenting fun into my day so it's not that hard.

Hey radeng,
That’s a packed schedule but you seem to make it work well (doing well with daygame and nightgame). That’s interesting regarding the meditation, visualization, and affirmations.
I will meditate sometimes, and set goals though I could use visualization and affirmations more I suppose. I have a strong believe in self and conviction and an idea of where I want to go and can just work towards that; but I also think that there’s likely some benefit to visualization that I could gain trying it more.
I suppose I do use it when I go for some big lifts, or picture a date and escalation going smoothly with a girl.
Yeah come to think of it I do use it for powerlifting, going for a heavy squat; I practice calming myself now (instead of being aggressive and loud) being focused, calm but dead set on hitting my weight in a controlled manner. And then I just set out to do it and make it look easy.
Could use this more with some of the goals I set definitely though. I think some of them I set (which I set for like a year’s time and then sub goals within that too) I have doubts of whether I can even finish within that time scale, but I set out to just give it my all in smart work and hard work and see how far I can get within the set parameters. Often goals change or shift in odd ways; or I fall just a bit short of what had set. But I think that’s fine, and that eventually I always tend to get what I want and things seem to work out in just the right way they were meant to (at least that’s the story I seem to believe and tell myself).

I work 8-5 in sales position so officially I work 40 hours but in reality I have be at work 45 hours a week. Radeng sounds like he is a little more organized then I was when I was going out that much.
But I did have time management issues 9 hours at the office about 1.5 total to and from work drive time. I try to get 7 hours a night during the week because otherwise my work suffers. If I'm tired at work it shows dramatically in my sales motivation and effectiveness.
If I was able to get really organized I would have been able to manage the time.
Economics was by far the biggest problem because most nights I had dates I didn't have time to cook a high quality meal and ended up eating out a lot.
My job isn't really soul sucking because it's pretty chill for a sales environment so I can tolerate it. There were weeks were my job was more frustrating and that did bleed into my after work activities of you know what I mean. So I can imagine if you really don't like your job it can turn into soul sucking. GC has def helped me keep my sanity.
I'm talking in past tense because I just moved back out of the city while I look for new jobs haha. Oh and pardon my writing because my computer system has been down all afternoon I'm typing on my dam phone.
Hey Brum,
Yeah gathering from what you and radeng say, I can guess that it helps for a corporate job if it’s something you like on some level, and that doesn’t massively suck your soul or make you miserable.
After writing this post it occurred to me that I’ve already sort of had this 40 hour a week schedule with classes and school and boatloads of homework; and that I’d been able to manage to some degree in the past.
It was and still is much tougher if it’s a class or subject I don’t care for (or that is miserable and soul sucking in that regard or other regards); but other than that I think that if it’s something I don’t mind too much, I can manage fine with the time.
I’ve found too that if it’s something I love (regarding work I am doing), breaks aren’t really needed and ridiculous schedules can be just fine for me and even enjoyable. This would be a day of writing a few hours, reading a bit, lifting for a few hours, eating a lot, coming back and working some more, then going out and doing something at night (back when had events at school, or a party or something; just recently became of age to go to bars and stuff now).
Maybe a corporate job isn’t that detrimental to pickup if you find systems of balancing it with your life; and don’t hate it immensely. That’s neat I suppose
