Chase has often talked of altruism being a positive quality that only enhances a strong man.
The problem is when a guy thinks being more altruistic will help him without putting in the work to also be a strong man who leads women and meets their needs.

Agree with both parts of your comment, but I think the article I linked to is a good example of society/women trying to keep men under control - like many articles and female comments of this type the sub text is "be a good boy and behave how I want you to behave so I can control you better".
The giveaway is that the article tries to claim that altruism is absolutely the most attractive quality out there and will have women falling all over you, rather than as you imply a useful extra quality to have once the more fundamental stuff is sorted.
Don't get me wrong I am not knocking altruism in the slightest. It just annoys me when women and white knight-ish men try to claim it is what gets you laid, that it is somehow a massive erotic turn on.
